There are few American classics these days, but Don Williams is certainly one of them. Country music is built on real emotions, real songs, real moments in people’s lives. That is the definition of Don Williams. With hits including “Good Ole Boys Like Me,” “I Believe In You,” “Amanda,” “Some Broken Hearts Never Mend” and “Tulsa Time,” Williams career is highlighted by 17 – #1 and 42 – Top 10 songs, and a 2010 induction to The Country Music Hall of Fame.

When he retired five years ago Williams had no plans to take the stage again. That changed last year with the announcement that he would be entering the Country Music Hall of Fame. His fans kept asking for Don to perform again. As an artist who always appreciated the tremendous support of his fans, Williams decided to perform a handful of shows to say “thank you” for giving him an incredible career.

When Williams included Up Close Concerts in Branson, MO as one of his few 2010 concerts, fans were thrilled to be able to see and hear this amazing performer one more time. That thrill was surpassed only by the excitement created when, towards the end of his Branson appearance, Williams said from the stage, “I hope to come back and see you soon.”

Making a very rare concert appearance outside the Grand Ole Opry will be fellow Country Music Hall of Fame member Little Jimmy Dickens. Jimmy turns 91 years old on December 19 and has the energy of a 30 year old. He continues to wow capacity crowds in Nashville each weekend. With Don Williams and Little Jimmy Dickens on the same show you will have a night filled with incredible music and lots of laughter.
