Don Solice Rock N' Roll is Here to Stay

Last night I got the chance to go see Rock N' Roll is Here to Stay with Don Solice. I have seen several of the shows in town  but I was super impressed by this one.  It is in the star theatre which has been the previous home of many of the big Branson Mo shows such as Yakov Smirnoff, Mel Tillis, and Kirby Van Birch just to name a few.

The show starts out with a great collage of music by 4 very talented performers backed up by an amazing house band whose sax player, does a bit where he plays 2 saxophones at once which is pretty awesome.

after a very high energy introduction we are introduced to Don Solice who does the shows Elvis Tribute. I'm going to be real with you guys, he may not look alot like elvis,  but he SOUNDS EXACTLY like Elvis. when he did Kentucky rain I was almost moved to tears. and his stage presence is just incredible. after don does a short tribute to Elvis the other cast members come back and do a tribute to the 60's and then we went to intermission.

One of the things I loved most about this place was the concession stand. The prices were awesome like 3 dollars for a super mega jumbo sized popcorn and it was good popcorn too lightly salted with butter flavoring, but 3 dollars for a popcorn of this magnitude is the best deal in Branson.  but Getting back to the show

The second half was really great. I was greeted with a fantastic tribute to Mo-town featuring songs such as "on the board walk" and a really amazing performance of "midnight train to Georgia." Then it closed out with more Elvis tribute by Don Solice

What stood out most about the show was the crowd participation. The performers were out in the audience every few songs shaking hands, talking to people and getting everyone involved with the show.

if you're looking for a great show while you're in Branson you can't go wrong with Rock n Roll is Here to Stay with Don Solice. I highly recommend it. They are featured on out shows page so go check them out.
