‘Cats’ to compete on television – Branson Tri-Lakes News
The Cat’s Pajamas will be one of 16 groups vying to be the best a cappella group in the country on the NBC show “The Sing-Off.”
The announcement came through a press release Tuesday. The show, in its third season, returns to TV, Monday, Sept. 19. The Cat’s Pajamas, along with the other 15 groups, will be performing for celebrity judges Sara Bareilles, Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman and competing for $200,000 cash and a Sony Music recording contract. The show is hosted by recording artist Nick Lachey.
The Cat’s Pajamas began performances Aug. 9 at Branson Mall Music Theatre after a mid-season move from the Dutton Family Theatre, where they were in their second season. Performances at Branson Mall begin at 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays.
